Editor’s pick award Best Windows 8 Apps

Both NeuroMind and OrthoRef have received an Editor’s Pick Award from BestWindows8Apps.net. NeuroMind has been rewarded with a score 9/10 and OrthoRef even with a score 10/10! That’s a nice December gift! :-)

OrthoRef available for Windows 8

From now on, my orthopaedic app OrthoRef is also available for Windows 8, next to iPhone, iPad and Android. After a technical change I described previously it did meet all certification requirements. I hope you like it! Screenshots

Windows Store development: adding a privacy statement to the settings charm

I posted before that at first, both NeuroMind and OrthoRef did not pass certification for the Windows Store, because the so-called settings charm did not contain a privacy policy. Actually, this minor issue is one of the more frequent reasons why apps don’t pass. Silly actually… because the check which can be done from Visual…Continue Reading…

OrthoRef resubmitted to Windows Store

I resubmitted OrthoRef to the Windows Store, after adding the mandatory “settings charm“. As far as I know, it now meets all requirements… so I hope that it will pass the certification process this time. In that case it should be available early December. Also, NeuroMind for Windows has been downloaded more than 600 times…Continue Reading…

Finally, the wait is over.. After successful versions for iPhone, iPad and Android, there is now a fourth member of the family: NeuroMind for Windows 8! It can be downloaded free of charge from the Windows Store. This first version contains all scores and classification systems that are also present on the other platforms. It…Continue Reading…

NeuroMind 2.1 update

NeuroMind 2.1 is going to be out soon. I have uploaded the binaries to the App Store for review, and to Google Play for (almost immediate) access. You’ll be pleased to see some improvements in the layout… for iPhone users, there is now support for the iPhone 5 screen dimensions. First, this is how it…Continue Reading…

NeuroMind and OrthoRef resubmitted to Windows Store

Windows Store certification for NeuroMind and OrthoRef failed, both for the same reason: lack of compliance to section 4.1 of the certification requirements. This reads: If your app has the technical ability to transmit any user’s personal information, you must maintain a privacy policy. You must provide access to your privacy policy in the Description page of your…Continue Reading…

OrthoRef submitted to Windows Store

One more thing… besides NeuroMind, one of my other apps will also be available for Windows 8, directly from the beginning. It is OrthoRef, which now contains more than 100 scores for your orthopedical practice. Here is what the start screen looks like: I will keep you posted on the progress… Meanwhile, you can look…Continue Reading…

NeuroMind submitted to Windows Store

A completely optimized version of NeuroMind for Windows 8 has been submitted to the Windows Store. App certification is in progress, I will keep you posted. I hope to have it available in the Store when Windows 8 launches on Oct 26. Best of all, it is completely free of charge! So when you run to…Continue Reading…

Windows App Certification error

After working on NeuroMind for Windows 8, I created a package (which is just Visual Studio’s way of saying that it is compiling for the Windows Store) – this worked well, and I could test the software on my Samsung tablet successfully. Then, I wanted to run the certification process. This is very easy to…Continue Reading…
