Accessing Ubuntu 14.04 from Remote Desktop

For a neuroimaging application I would like to access Ubuntu 14.04 LTS from my Windows desktop at work. Microsoft’s Remote Desktop protocol can be convenient for this and is also available for Mac OS X. These instructions from Tweaking4All worked perfect for me! Hope this helps you too…
